The breach, caused by a security vulnerability in 2023, exposed 5.3 terabytes of sensitive data, including personal therapy records, psychiatry intake notes, medical histories, PII, patient notes, and even video and audio of therapy sessions. The exposed data was linked to a misconfigured server operated by the virtual medical company Confidant Health. This incident raises serious concerns about data security and patient privacy in the healthcare sector.
