Dan Ashworth has departed his role as Sporting Director at Manchester United after just five months. The move was agreed during a meeting at Old Trafford with Omar Berrada following the team's Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, under whose leadership team Ashworth had joined, was reportedly pivotal in the decision, expressing dissatisfaction with the club's summer strategy. Manchester United confirmed the departure, stating it was by mutual agreement and thanked Ashworth for his contributions during a transitional period for the club. Ashworth joined Manchester United from Newcastle United earlier this year, with United spending approximately £3 million to secure his services.
