VisitCS Mithika Linturi Survives Impeachment, 7 of 11 Committee Members Vote to Save Him

Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi has retained his position following a parliamentary vote on his impeachment related to allegations of involvement in a fake fertilizer scandal. The National Assembly held a special sitting where a Select House Committee, after deliberation, decided to save Linturi's job. Seven out of the eleven committee members voted in his favor, effectively dismissing the charges of gross violation of the constitution (ground 1) and other serious allegations (ground 2).
