Crypto.com Acquires Fintek Securities in Australia for Equities Trading

Crypto.com has expanded its offerings in Australia by acquiring Fintek Securities, a brokerage and trading firm regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). This acquisition provides Crypto.com with an Australian Financial Services Licence, enabling the company to offer regulated derivatives, securities, foreign exchange, and investment schemes to eligible users in Australia. Vakul Talwar, Crypto.com's general manager for Australia, described the move as a 'huge step' for the Singapore-based exchange, as it now allows them to offer equities trading in the local market.
