Nov 14, 2024, 01:32 PM
Craig Melvin has been announced as the new co-anchor of NBC's 'Today' show, succeeding Hoda Kotb. Melvin, who has been with NBC News for nearly 14 years, will join Savannah Guthrie in the co-anchor seat for the 7 and 8 a.m. hours starting January 10, 2025. Kotb announced her departure in September after nearly two decades with the network. Melvin was a leading contender for the role, having already co-anchored the 9 a.m. hour of 'Today'. The announcement was made on the morning broadcast, and Kotb's final day will be January 10, 2025.
