ConsenSys Forms Linea Association to Decentralize Layer-2 zkEVM, Launch $LINEA Token in Q1 2025

ConsenSys, the parent company of MetaMask, has announced the formation of the Linea Association, a non-profit organization based in Switzerland, aimed at advancing the decentralization of its Layer-2 zkEVM, Linea. The association plans to launch the $LINEA token in the first quarter of 2025 as part of its roadmap to decentralization. Linea has emerged as a top 10 Layer 2 network by Total Value Locked (TVL) and transaction volume in 2024.
