VisitCongress Probes ActBlue for Foreign Funding in Democrat Campaigns, Ken Paxton Raises Alarm
Oct 21, 2024, 06:02 PM
Congress has expanded its investigation into Democrat fundraising, focusing on potential foreign funding from countries such as Iran, Venezuela, China, and Russia. The investigation seeks access to Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and bank documents to determine if foreign money is being funneled into U.S. Democrat campaigns through ActBlue. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has also raised concerns about ActBlue, alleging that the platform allows illegal political contributions via prepaid debit cards. Paxton's investigation has uncovered numerous suspicious donations and he has called for the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to take action to prevent foreign interference in American elections, citing significant security concerns.
