VisitCongo Requests Mpox Vaccines from Japan and US, Expects Delivery Next Week

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has requested mpox vaccines and needles made in Japan, according to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The request aims to address the ongoing outbreak of the virus in the region. Japan, in cooperation with the World Health Organization and other partners, is working to fulfill this request. The Congo Health Minister stated that the country hopes to receive the first batch of mpox vaccines by next week. Both the United States and Japan have promised to send the vaccines to help curb the spread of the virus.
