VisitCommanders Rookie QB Jayden Daniels Named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for September
Oct 6, 2024, 05:23 PM
Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has been making headlines with his impressive performances. Daniels won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for September, becoming the first Washington rookie to achieve this since Robert Griffin III in 2012. He has also been named NFC Offensive Rookie of the Week three times in the first four weeks of the season. In Week 4, Daniels accumulated 280 total yards, 2 touchdowns, and had an 86.7% completion rate. Additionally, he became the first player in NFL history to complete at least 85% of his passes in back-to-back games with a minimum of 20 attempts in each game. Daniels has also set records with 4 rushing touchdowns in his first 4 games, joining an elite group of quarterbacks. He is the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback so far this season, averaging 23.4 fantasy points per game. His jersey was the top seller on Fanatics last week. Despite a rough game against the Browns, where he completed a 66-yard pass to Terry McLaurin, Daniels continues to be a standout player, ranking high in various rookie and quarterback rankings. He was also named the Flexport Player of the Month for September.
