The Washington Commanders defeated the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions 45-31 at Ford Field to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1992. In one of the biggest playoff upsets in recent memory, the Commanders overcame the Lions' historic 15-win season. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels led Washington with 22 completions on 31 attempts for 299 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. added 77 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Washington will face the winner of the Eagles-Rams game in the NFC Championship, putting them one win away from reaching the Super Bowl.
