VisitCommanders Edge Giants 21-18 with Seibert's 7 Field Goals, Daniels' First Win
Sep 15, 2024, 08:10 PM
The Washington Commanders secured a dramatic 21-18 victory over the New York Giants, largely thanks to newly signed kicker Austin Seibert, who made all seven of his field goal attempts, including the game-winning 30-yard kick as time expired. This game marked the first NFL win for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 226 yards and ran for 44 yards. Running back Brian Robinson contributed significantly with 133 rushing yards. Seibert's seven field goals set a new team record for the Commanders. The Giants, now 0-2, struggled without a reliable kicker and failed to capitalize on their three touchdowns, leaving them with only a 6% chance of making the playoffs. The Commanders, now 1-1 in the NFC East, will visit the Bengals on Monday Night Football.
