Colts Hire Former Bengals DC Lou Anarumo, Replacing Gus Bradley
Jan 20, 2025, 08:48 PM
The Indianapolis Colts have hired Lou Anarumo as their new defensive coordinator, a major addition to head coach Shane Steichen's staff. Anarumo, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive minds, served as the Cincinnati Bengals' defensive coordinator from 2019 to 2024 before being fired earlier this month. He replaces Gus Bradley, who led the Colts' defense for three years. Steichen interviewed several experienced coaches before selecting Anarumo, who was a top target for teams and some head coaching candidates around the league. Anarumo's hiring is expected to play a key role as the Colts retool their defense.
