VisitColorado Becomes Bowl Eligible for First Time Since 2016, Beats Cincinnati 34-23; Shedeur Extends TD Streak
Oct 27, 2024, 03:08 PM
Colorado Buffaloes football team, led by head coach Deion Sanders, defeated Cincinnati 34-23 to improve to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big 12, becoming bowl eligible for the first time since 2016. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw multiple touchdown passes and rushed for a touchdown, extending his streak to 44 consecutive games with a touchdown pass. He also became the first player in Colorado history with two 20-touchdown seasons. Wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter had an outstanding performance, playing 132 snaps with 9 catches for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, along with 4 pass breakups on defense. The Buffaloes' success marks a significant turnaround for a program that won only one game two years ago. Colorado is now ranked No. 23 in the AP Top 25 poll.
