VisitCleveland Browns Fire Ken Dorsey and Andy Dickerson After 3-14 Season, Averaging 15.2 Points Per Game
Jan 5, 2025, 01:46 PM
The Cleveland Browns have fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson following a disappointing 3-14 season. The decision came swiftly after the team's season-ending 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Dorsey, who was hired to revamp the offense around quarterback Deshaun Watson, struggled to improve the team's performance, with the Browns averaging just 15.2 points per game, the lowest in the NFL. Watson's season was cut short by an Achilles injury, leading to the use of a fourth starting quarterback, Bailey Zappe. The offense was also plagued by turnovers, throwing 23 interceptions throughout the season. Dickerson, who replaced the highly regarded Bill Callahan, also failed to bolster the offensive line, which contributed to the team's struggles. Both coaches were in their first season with the Browns.
