Trading in the Chinese stock market reached unprecedented levels today, with turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges surpassing 2 trillion yuan. This marks the highest trading volume since June 15, 2015, breaking the previous record set in 2015. Earlier in the day, trading had already crossed 1 trillion yuan within just 30 minutes of opening, setting a new record for the fastest time to reach this milestone. The total turnover for the day was recorded at 1.9 trillion yuan, the highest ever in history.
