VisitChina Urges Pakistan to Improve Security After Two Deadly Attacks on Chinese Workers
Oct 30, 2024, 06:32 AM
China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang, has issued a stern warning to the Pakistani government regarding the security situation in the country. During a rare press conference on Tuesday, Jiang emphasized that the recent deadly attacks on Chinese workers, including the attack at Karachi airport that killed two Chinese nationals, are unacceptable. He urged the Pakistani government to launch a crackdown on anti-China terrorist groups, highlighting that without a safe environment, projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) cannot succeed. Pakistani officials have called for greater coordination on the security of Chinese workers, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the safety of Chinese citizens.
