China Unveils 'Tiangong' Humanoid Robot with 6 kph Running Speed

In a significant development in the field of robotics, China has been at the forefront with the unveiling of 'Tiangong', a domestically-developed humanoid robot, in Shenzhen. This advanced robot is capable of walking, running, and maintaining a stable speed of 6 kph. The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, which unveiled 'Tiangong', is funded by a state-owned enterprise and announced this innovation shortly after China released a comprehensive 9-page guideline in November 2023 to accelerate the development of humanoid robots. This guideline appears to be part of a broader initiative, as China already boasts a substantial number of humanoid robots, indicating a robust push towards integrating these technologies.
