VisitChina Unveils First Electric Flying Car Weighing 500 kg, Launches Trillion-Yuan Low-Altitude Economy Initiative
Jan 7, 2025, 02:24 AM
China has introduced a new concept termed 'Low-Altitude Economy,' highlighted by the unveiling of its first distributed electric-powered flying car in Nanjing on January 1. This eVTOL aircraft, featuring a maximum takeoff weight of 500 kg, is designed with four rotors and eight blades, allowing for a flight endurance exceeding 20 minutes and a maximum flight altitude of over 300 meters. The demand for electric, driverless flying taxis is rising, as users can now order them via mobile applications similar to traditional taxis. The low-altitude economy is further supported by advancements in 5G-Advanced networks, enabling drones to deliver various goods, including seafood and medicine. Analysts project a trillion-yuan vertical mobility market by 2030.
