China is set to unveil the world's fastest train, building on its status as the leader in high-speed rail. Over the past decade, the country has constructed the largest high-speed rail network globally, achieving new records for passenger trips. In 2024, China's high-speed railroads accommodated nearly 3.3 billion passengers, reflecting a 12.9% increase from the previous year, and accounted for 76% of all rail travelers, according to the National Railway Administration. The total length of operational high-speed rail lines reached 48,000 kilometers, showcasing the extensive infrastructure development in the sector.
