China is set to offer five-year travel permit cards to non-Chinese permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macau starting next Wednesday, July 1, 2024. This move is aimed at easing visa rules to facilitate easier entry into mainland China and further integrate the semi-autonomous cities into national development plans. The new policy allows foreigners who are permanent residents of these regions to apply for multiple-entry travel visas with a validity of five years.
