China State Railway Group Unveils CR450 Train in Beijing, Capable of 450 km/h Test Speed and 400 km/h Operation

China unveiled a prototype of the CR450 high-speed train in Beijing on Sunday, marking a significant advancement in rail technology. Developed by China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the train is capable of reaching speeds up to 450 kilometers per hour during tests and is designed to operate commercially at 400 kilometers per hour. This new model surpasses the speed of the currently operational CR400 Fuxing high-speed trains, which run at 350 kilometers per hour. The CR450 aims to reduce travel times and enhance passenger comfort with features such as increased energy efficiency, reduced interior noise, and improved braking performance.
