China Sends 48 Modules from Guangzhou for ITER 'Artificial Sun' Nuclear Fusion Reactor in France

China has dispatched 48 blanket shield block modules from Guangzhou to France for the construction of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), the world's largest experimental tokamak nuclear fusion reactor. This shipment, which occurred on Friday, marks a significant milestone in the collaborative project involving multiple international partners, including the European Union, India, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and the United States. The ITER facility, often referred to as an 'artificial sun,' aims to advance nuclear fusion technology, which has the potential to provide a nearly limitless source of clean energy.
