VisitChina's Visa-Free Policy Boosts Tourism with 14 Million Visitors in H1 2024, Extends to 12 European Countries
Sep 12, 2024, 05:00 AM
China has implemented a successful visa-free policy, attracting nearly 2 million foreigners from July to August 2024. The policy has led to a significant increase in inbound tourism, with 14 million foreign visitors in the first half of 2024, marking a 152.7% increase from 2023. Experts predict that China's inbound tourism market will continue to recover throughout the year and may return to pre-COVID levels reached in 2019, in view of its good performance in the first half of the year. The visa-free entry is now extended to 12 European countries and another country, further boosting tourism.
