VisitChina's Trade Surplus Nears Record $1 Trillion, Up 12% from 2022

China's current account surplus has reached $240 billion in the first three quarters of 2024. The country's trade surplus is on track to hit a record high this year, nearing $1 trillion. This marks a 12% increase from the previous high in 2022, for the period from January to October. As China's trade surplus continues to grow, it is increasingly placing the nation on a collision course with some of the world's largest economies.
