China and Russia Conduct Joint Air Patrol Over Sea of Japan with 17 Aircraft on November 29-30

On November 29 and 30, China and Russia conducted a joint strategic air patrol over the Sea of Japan, marking the ninth such operation. The patrol included a Chinese J-16 fighter jet escorting an H-6N bomber, which made its debut in this mission, alongside a Russian Tu-95 bomber. The operation involved a total of 17 aircraft and spanned two consecutive days. Japan's Air Self-Defense Force scrambled fighter jets in response to the flights, which extended from the East China Sea to the Sea of Japan and back.
