VisitChina Opposes Canada's 25% Tariffs on Aluminum and EVs, Plans Probe
Sep 3, 2024, 03:08 AM
The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association has expressed strong opposition to Canada's decision to impose a 25% additional tariff on certain aluminum products from China. The Canadian government announced new tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, aluminum, and steel. In response, China's Ministry of Commerce has voiced strong dissatisfaction and plans to take necessary measures to defend the rights of Chinese companies. China also intends to launch a non-discriminatory probe into the Canadian tariffs and initiate an anti-dumping investigation into canola imports from Canada.
