China has launched a new internet crackdown targeting video apps and social media platforms to eliminate content deemed harmful to children. The Cyberspace Administration of China initiated a two-month nationwide campaign called Operation Qinglang on July 13, aimed at ensuring a healthy online environment for minors during the summer vacation. The special campaign will focus on addressing prominent problems in areas such as short-video and live-streaming platforms.
