China has commenced the second phase of construction on the world's highest solar power station in the Xizang Autonomous Region, situated at an altitude of 5,228 meters. This expansion involves the installation of nearly 170,000 photovoltaic modules, aiming to increase the station's capacity to 150 megawatts. Once completed, the station is expected to deliver 246 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The installed capacity is expected to reach 100 megawatts.
