VisitChina Expands Visa-Free Entry to Nine More Countries for 30 Days from Nov. 30
Nov 22, 2024, 10:02 AM
China has announced plans to expand its visa-free travel policy to include nine additional countries, effective from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025. This initiative aims to boost international tourism and business travel, allowing ordinary passport holders from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan to enter China without a visa for up to 30 days. The policy extends the stay limit from the previous 15 days to 30 days, marking a significant step in facilitating cross-border travel and enhancing international connectivity. This move is part of China's broader strategy to revive its economy, which has been sluggish, by attracting more tourists and business travelers. The policy now applies to a total of 38 countries, with full visa exemption agreements with 25 countries and unilateral visa-free policies for 29 countries.
