Jul 15, 2024, 01:13 AM
China has expanded its 144-hour visa-free transit policy to three additional entry ports, bringing the total number of ports covered by the policy to 37. The new ports include Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport in Henan Province, Lijiang Sanyi International Airport, and Mohan railway port in Yunnan Province. This policy allows foreign nationals from 54 countries to enter China without a visa for up to six days. Since the introduction of the 72/144-hour visa-free policies in January, China has recorded 14.64 million inbound trips by foreigners in the first half of the year, representing a 152.7 percent increase year-on-year.
