VisitChina Bans Dual-Use Exports to 28 U.S. Defense Firms, Sanctions 10 Over Taiwan Arms Sales
Jan 2, 2025, 11:15 AM
China's Ministry of Commerce has escalated trade tensions by adding 28 U.S. entities to its export control list, prohibiting the export of dual-use items to these firms. The listed companies include major defense contractors such as General Dynamics, Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon Missiles & Defense. This action is aimed at safeguarding national security and fulfilling international obligations, including non-proliferation commitments. Additionally, China has placed 10 U.S. companies on its Unreliable Entities List due to their involvement in arms sales to Taiwan. These companies, including subsidiaries of Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and Raytheon, are now barred from engaging in import and export activities related to China, and their senior executives are prohibited from entering the country.
