Sep 5, 2024, 07:25 PM
Kansas City Chiefs superfan Xavier Babudar, known as 'Chiefsaholic,' has been sentenced to 17.5 years in federal prison without parole, followed by three years of supervised release. Babudar pleaded guilty to 11 armed bank robberies committed across seven states, stealing over $800,000. His attorney stated that the robberies were driven by a gambling addiction. The sentencing took place on the day of the Chiefs' season opener. Babudar was also involved in money laundering and had pleaded guilty to the charges in February. He led a double life as a ski-mask-wearing bank robber.
