VisitChiefs Sign Creed Humphrey to Record $72M Extension with $50M Guaranteed, Making Him Highest-Paid Center
Aug 23, 2024, 12:35 AM
The Kansas City Chiefs and Creed Humphrey, a two-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time Super Bowl champion, have agreed to a four-year, $72 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid center in NFL history. The deal includes $50 million guaranteed and was negotiated by Ken Sarnoff and Andy Simms of 1 of 1 Agency. This extension ties Humphrey to the Chiefs through the 2028 season. Humphrey, who was a former second-round pick, has been a key player anchoring Kansas City’s offensive line. His new average annual salary of $18 million surpasses Jason Kelce's $14.25 million, and his guaranteed amount eclipses Frank Ragnow's $42 million.
