VisitCharlie Condon Named 2024 College Player of the Year, Wins Golden Spikes Award

Charlie Condon has been named Baseball America’s 2024 College Player of the Year. Condon, a standout slugger for the University of Georgia, hit 37 home runs, the most by any Division I hitter in the 21st century, setting a BBCOR-era record. He maintained a .433 batting average, the highest in the NCAA. His performance also earned him the prestigious Golden Spikes Award, making him the first player in University of Georgia history to win the award. Additionally, Condon's on-base plus slugging (OPS) was 1.565, the highest in the NCAA. He is projected to be a top 5 pick in the upcoming MLB Draft. Condon is also the cover star of Baseball America's Draft Preview issue.
