Central Bank of Syria Looted in Damascus After Assad's Fall

Videos circulating on social media depict individuals, identified as opponents of Bashar al-Assad, removing bundles of what appear to be banknotes from the Central Bank. The Syrian Central Bank Governor confirmed that armed groups managed to loot some of the bank's assets, although efforts were made to secure the remaining funds. Reports also mention that in Latakia, instances of looting have begun amidst the ongoing crisis. The situation in Damascus has escalated with arson and looting, with the Central Bank being one of the primary targets.
