VisitCedric Mullins' Walk-Off 2 RBI Hit Lifts Orioles Over Yankees 6-5 at Camden Yards
Jul 14, 2024, 07:00 PM
The Baltimore Orioles secured a dramatic 6-5 victory over the New York Yankees at Camden Yards. Cedric Mullins delivered a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth inning, driving the ball over Alex Verdugo’s head. The Yankees had taken a two-run lead in the top of the ninth, but miscues by Anthony Volpe and Verdugo allowed the Orioles to rally. Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman had crucial at-bats against Clay Holmes, who struggled and contributed to the Yankees' collapse. Ryan O'Hearn also had a significant at-bat. Mullins, who had 2 RBI and a double, marked his fifth career walk-off hit.
