CDC Warns of Record High Child Vaccine Exemptions, Risking Disease Outbreaks and Declining Vaccination Rates

The CDC reports that the number of children exempted from routine vaccinations has reached an all-time high, leaving hundreds of thousands of kids vulnerable to preventable diseases like measles and whooping cough. The percentage of kindergarteners exempted from school-required vaccinations has also risen to the highest level during the 2022-2023 school year. Additionally, at least two million children have lost health insurance since the U.S. ended pandemic-era guarantees under Medicaid.
