Sep 4, 2024, 01:46 PM
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and four others, including senior police officers, for allegedly attempting to frame BJP leaders in false cases. This case, which dates back to 2022, involves accusations of Deshmukh directing the Jalgaon Superintendent of Police to act against BJP workers. Deshmukh, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and NCP(SP), has denied the allegations, calling it a conspiracy by BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. The CBI has filed an FIR in connection with these allegations.
