VisitCarlos Alcaraz Reaches Olympic Men's Singles Final with 6-1, 6-1 Win, Youngest Since 1904
Aug 2, 2024, 01:07 PM
Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the men's singles final at the Olympic Games in Paris after a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime. This marks Alcaraz's first Olympic final and makes him the youngest men's singles finalist in Olympic history since 1904. He will face either Novak Djokovic or Lorenzo Musetti for the gold medal. Auger-Aliassime, who played three matches in quick succession, will compete for the bronze medal. Alcaraz, who has already won Roland-Garros and Wimbledon this year, has secured a medal for Spain and will represent Team Europe at the Laver Cup in Berlin in September 2024.
