A Canadian-German national living in China pleaded guilty in New York federal court to conspiring to steal trade secrets from Tesla, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer. The individual, Klaus Pflugbeil, was involved in sending valuable trade secrets, including detailed documents and drawings related to battery manufacturing, to an undercover U.S. agent posing as a businessman. The case was announced by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, in collaboration with the Department of Justice and the FBI.
