This includes eight gold medals, marking the most golds won outside of boycotted Olympics. The achievement ties Canada's second-highest medal count ever, matching the totals from Vancouver 2010 and Beijing 2022, with the record being 29 medals from Pyeongchang 2018. Gracenote's prediction had estimated 21 medals. Canada's 25th medal set a new summer record. They have matched Tokyo's medal total of 24.
