VisitCalifornia Court Rules Tahawwur Rana Extraditable to India for 26/11 Mumbai Attacks

A U.S. court in California has ruled that Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman, is extraditable to India under the extradition treaty between the two countries. Rana is sought by India for his alleged involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, known as the 26/11 attacks. The decision was made by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Rana, who was tried in a U.S. district court on charges related to his support for a terrorist organization, still has the option to appeal the decision.
