VisitCal Student Wins $100K with 33-Yarder Field Goal, Raises $600K for Hurricane Helene

During ESPN's 'College GameDay' at Berkeley, Cal civil engineering student Daniel Villasenor successfully kicked a 33-yarder field goal wearing checkered Vans shoes to win $100,000. The event was part of Pat McAfee's Kicking Contest. Villasenor initially missed his first kick but succeeded on the second attempt. His kick also contributed to a $600,000 donation for Hurricane Helene disaster relief. Cal head coach Justin Wilcox praised the achievement. This marked the first appearance of 'College GameDay' at Cal, making the achievement even more memorable.
