VisitCaitlin Clark Sets WNBA Single-Game Assist Record with 19 Assists, 24 Points for Fever
Jul 18, 2024, 01:27 AM
Caitlin Clark, the rookie sensation of the Indiana Fever, has set a new WNBA record for the most assists in a single game with 19. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 18 assists held by Courtney Vandersloot of the Chicago Sky. Clark's performance included 24 points, 6 rebounds, and a career-high 15 assists before reaching the record-breaking 19 assists. Despite her historic performance, the Fever fell to the Dallas Wings. Clark's season has been remarkable, leading the league with 7.8 assists per game and becoming the fastest player to reach 400 points and 200 assists in just 26 games, surpassing Sue Bird's previous record of 33 games. She is also the first rookie in league history to record a triple-double and the second rookie to surpass 200 assists, joining Ticha Penicheiro.
