Caeleb Dressel has made a triumphant return by winning the men's 100m butterfly at the Swim Trials with a time of 50.19 seconds. He secured his victory by 0.71 seconds over teenage phenom Thomas Heilman, who finished with a time of 50.80 seconds, setting a new national age-group record. Both Dressel and Heilman will represent the United States in the 100m butterfly at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Dare Rose placed third with a time of 50.84 seconds. Dressel aims to join Michael Phelps as the only men to win back-to-back Olympic golds in the 100m butterfly.
