BYD Reports Record 514,809 NEV Sales in December, 50.9% Increase; Total 2024 Sales Reach 4.27 Million, Up 41%

BYD reported record sales of 514,809 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in December 2024, marking the third consecutive month of sales exceeding 500,000 units. The company's total sales for the year reached 4.27 million units, a 41% increase compared to the previous year. In December, BYD's sales included 207,734 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and 301,706 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The production for the month was 466,441 NEVs, also reflecting a year-on-year increase. Notably, overseas sales accounted for 57,154 units in December, contributing to the company's strong performance in the competitive electric vehicle market.
