    Bulgarian archaeologists have discovered a well-preserved marble statue of the Greek god Hermes during excavation work at the site of the ancient city of Heraclea Sintica this week. The 6.8-foot (2-meter) tall statue, found in an ancient Roman sewer, is believed to have been buried after an earthquake in A.D. 388. The statue remains in excellent condition, providing significant insights into the historical and cultural context of the area. The discovery is considered an unexpected treasure.
