VisitBrowns Fire OC Ken Dorsey After NFL-Worst Offense; Second Year in Row Team Changes OCs
Jan 5, 2025, 01:16 PM
The Cleveland Browns have fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson after just one season with the team. This marks the second consecutive year the Browns have dismissed their offensive coordinator. The decision comes following a disappointing 3-14 season in which the Browns scored the fewest points (258) in the NFL and ranked 32nd with an F grade in PFN's Offense+ Metric. Head coach Kevin Stefanski, who will return for the 2025 season, had attempted to meld two offensive styles with Dorsey's hire to maximize quarterback Deshaun Watson's performance, but the changes failed to take root. Stefanski plans to remodel the offensive staff and return to the philosophy that led the team to 11 wins in 2023. Potential internal candidates to replace Dorsey include tight ends coach Tommy Rees, who recently interviewed for the UNC head coaching position.
