VisitBroncos Record Two Safeties, Lead Seahawks 10-9 in First Half
Sep 8, 2024, 09:19 PM
The Denver Broncos have made history by recording two safeties in the first half of their game against the Seattle Seahawks. This remarkable feat has not been achieved since 2017. The Broncos' defense capitalized on Seattle's offensive errors, including a holding call in the end zone and a failed run by Zach Charbonnet. Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix threw his first career interception. Wil Lutz drilled a 30-yard field goal to give the Broncos an 8-3 lead. Meanwhile, Geno Smith of the Seahawks showcased his athleticism with a 34-yard touchdown run, his longest since 2013. Despite these efforts, the Broncos lead the game 10-9, with their points coming from two safeties and two field goals.
