A Brightline train collided with a Delray Beach Fire Rescue truck on Saturday morning in Delray Beach, Florida, injuring three firefighters and 12 train passengers, totaling 15 injuries. The accident occurred near East Atlantic Avenue and Southeast 1st Avenue when the fire truck was responding to an emergency call. Witnesses reported that the fire truck waited for a freight train to pass, then went around the barrier and was hit by the Brightline train, causing the fire truck to overturn. The injured firefighters were transported to local trauma centers in stable condition, while the passengers sustained minor injuries and were also taken to hospitals. The collision resulted in road closures and limited delays for Brightline services. Authorities are investigating the incident.
